1) Unfortunately, do to the increased demand of our services, we do require a confirmation of your appointment before the end of the business day before your appointment. For example, if your appointment is on Tuesday, you must confirm your appointment sometime before 8pm. on Monday and so forth. If we do not hear from you, we will assume that an emergency or something else has come up and you are unable to keep your appointment. We have had entirely too many missed appointments lately. This takes about 3 hours of time out of our schedule (considering drive time) and gas expenses! We also like to fill in open availabilities with emergency appointments or those that have appointments scheduled further out. We do call you the morning before to confirm all appointments and give a little reminder. We just ask for the courtesy of a call back. Thank you! Please call Elizabeth (our scheduling coordinator) at 618-920-8496 to either make an appointment, confirm, or reschedule one.
2) Please try to have your vacation dates, kids activities, etc. in mind when calling us to schedule. We understand that things up, people get sick, family emergencies and so forth. However, we have to keep rescheduling to a minimum if it all possible. With that said, we are now enforcing a new rule that we are allowing 1 reschedule date for the client if need be and 1 for the trainer. If more dates are missed on the clients end, these will not be rescheduled. However, if the trainer needs to reschedule more than 1 appointment, we will be happy to add an additional class for each class the trainer reschedules due to the clients inconvenience!
3) Please work with your dog! If you cannot commit to training your dog, we will be happy to discuss other options for you. Training is a new "habit" that you are forming with your dog. It only takes a few minutes each day to work with your dog. A few minutes here and there does wonders, not hours at a time. It's the repetitiveness that will get through to your dog and new, healthier habits will be formed. We train on a ladder system, so if you are not practicing with your dog each week, when we arrive we just end up repeating the previous week vs. moving forward onto more advanced commands!
**a note from the trainer-- "If I do not continue to work with my dogs, they show it! While after a while it is no longer the formal training we used to do, I still have to work with them. When life gets busy and I quit working with them, they slip right back into old habits."
4) Have fun while training your dog! This can be one of the most rewarding things you may have done ;) Please do not hesitate to ask any questions. We strive for excellence the happiness of both our 2 legged and 4 legged clients.
